Shivers: A Study of Winter
Nov 28, 2004 to March 20, 2005

Shivers is an exciting exploration into all things related to winter – from ancient to modern understandings of the season. Contrast the myths and legends that explained winter to the people of the past with contemporary seasonal science about planetary patterns, snow, ice and the aurora. Explore animal and plant adaptations to the cold and investigate human survival strategies. Education programs for students are also available with this exhibit. Learn more…»
